Enjoy Award-Winning Wines While Giving Back at BlackFinn

In August, BlackFinn American Grille was honored with the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator and now the restaurant is giving guests an opportunity to sample selections from its award-winning list while providing meals for those in need.

Through the end of November, BlackFinn is teaming up with Gallo Winery and Taste of the NFL to provide meals for hungry families throughout north Florida. For every bottle of select Gallo premium wines sold at BlackFinn from September to November, Gallo, BlackFinn and Taste of the NFL will donate approximately 2.5 meals to the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Florida.

Gallo labels available at BlackFinn for this unique food drive include Maso Canali Pinot Grigio, MacMurray Ranch Pinot Gris, William Hill Chardonnay, McWilliams’s Shiraz, Don Miguel Gascon Malbec, Louis M Martini Cabernet Sauvignon and Apothic Red Blend. Both individual glass and full bottle purchases go toward hunger relief.

Founded in 1992 prior to Super Bowl XXVI, Taste of the NFL strives to bring awareness and funds for hunger relief efforts throughout America. Since its inception, over 77 million meals have been donated to hunger relief agencies across America. Additional information about Taste of the NFL is available at TasteOfTheNFL.com.

Established in 1933 in Modesto, California, by Ernest and Julio Gallo, Gallo Winery has become the world's largest family-owned winery and the foremost winery in the art of grape growing, winemaking, distribution and marketing of wines. Gallo produces wines in every category, to suit every taste. For more information about the Gallo family of wines, visit Gallo.com.

Second Harvest North Florida distributes food and grocery products to hungry people in need and educates the public about the causes and possible solutions to problems of domestic hunger. One dollar donated to Second Harvest generates seven meals, or the equivalent of two days of food for a person in need. More than 100,000 people in the 18 counties served by Second Harvest North Florida are experiencing very low food security—or hunger and an estimated 31,400 people receive emergency food assistance each week from a food pantry, soup kitchen or other agency served by Second Harvest North Florida. Additional information about Second Harvest North Florida is available at WeNourishHope.org.

BlackFinn American Grille is located at 4840 Big Island Drive, Suite 05, adjacent to St. Johns Town Center in the Markets at Town Center.
