Police Looking for Man who Shot up Arlington Apartment
Crime

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are looking for a suspect who they said fired six shots inside an Arlington apartment during a home invasion.

Mark Swartswelder, 25, told police he was sitting on his couch in his Charter Landing apartment on Edenfield Road when he heard his front door open, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The victim said an unknown man wearing all black came into his apartment screaming "give me the money" multiple times.

The report said he told police the suspect was shooting inside the apartment the whole time. Swartswelder told the suspect he had no money and reached for his phone, then the suspect fired again and fled the apartment.

Police found six shell casings inside the apartment. A neighbor told police she heard yelling and gunshots, and said a round came through her wall.

Police searched the nearby apartments to make sure no one had been hit by gunfire. A canvas of the area found nothing.
