TODAY: "Dine out for Down Syndrome"

Jacksonville's newest sports restaurant, Big Dawgs' Sports Restaurant, located at 12630-4 Beach Blvd. (Kernan Square) is hosting the event: "Dine out for Down Syndrome" all day August 30, 2011. Ten percent of all proceeds for the day will be donated to sponsor "Penelope's Peeps" in the upcoming "9th Annual Down Syndrome of Jacksonville (DSAJ) Buddy Walk," on November 5, 2011. Patrons will also have the opportunity to make personal donations directly to "Penelope's Peeps" Buddy Walk Team.

The DSAJ is a non-profit organization, created in 1989 by a handful of families who recognized the need to have a support group in the Jacksonville community, that is committed to helping people with Down syndrome achieve their full potential and to helping create a community that is educated, supportive, and inclusive of individuals with Down Syndrome.
