Despite Smoke, Baseball Must Go On

Despite Smoke, Baseball Must Go On

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Even though air quality monitors said Wednesday was on of the worst days in Jacksonville record-keeping, the Suns still played baseball against Mississippi Wednesday night.

A good seabreeze helped to clear out some of the smoke, though it still lingered throughout the game.

Many seats were empty, but Steve Vigue's was not. The Jacksonville native said he spends most of his day inside at a computer, so being out in the smoke tonight didn't bother him.

"Nah, I don't smoke. I've got good lungs," he said.

He goes to a handful of Suns games a year and said there's not much that would keep him away.

The Suns took a loss to the Mississippi Braves, 3 to 1 Wednesday, but will have another chance come smoke or shine Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
