Arlington neighborhood cordoned off by SWAT team | News
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT team has responded to what neighbors are describing as an unconfirmed hostage situation in Arlington.
First Coast News partner The Florida Times-Union reported that neighbors near the house on Tidewater Circle near Johnston Avenue have been evacuated. First Coast News reporters are on the scene and are being held several blocks away from the scene with other media persons and neighborhood residents. It has not been confirmed by the JSO that it is in fact a hostage situation or what the details of the SWAT presence are.
The SWAT team is beleived to be attempting to speak to a man in a house in that neighborhood over a loudspeaker. Neighbors say the man, who has not been identified, lives there with his wife and two daughters.
