SWAT team called to woman threatening suicide with knives

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police were able to prevent a woman from  committing suicide in Arlington early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the 6200 block of Pinelock Drive in Arlington around 7:20 Sunday morning.

When officers arrived she was leaving her home, and was soon surrounded in the roadway.

Lt. Shannon Dubberly says she was carrying three kitchen knives and threatening to kill herself.

Attempts to get her to drop the knives were unsuccesful so the SWAT team was called.

Before the SWAT team  could deploy to confront the woman, she tried to break containment and was tazed by an officer.

She was taken into custody without injury, and Baker Acted by police.
