Police release name of man killed in Wednesday morning shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has released the name of a man killed in a shooting at the Arlington Village Apartments early Wednesday morning.

Police found 34-year-old Edward James Williams laying in the parking lot. 

Williams was taken to Shands Jacksonville by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, where he later died.

At the time of the shooting, JSO Sgt. Michael Paul said Williams did not live in the apartment complex, but did live close by.

The investigation into Williams' murder is still ongoing.
