Woman's Death at Caroline Arms Under Investigation | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in the Caroline Arms Apartment complex.

An unidentified black female was found deceased inside an apartment around 4:15p.m. Wednesday afternoon, according Sergeant Janson with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

A person of interest is currently speaking to JSO, however deputies remain on scene to interview neighbors and further investigate.

"There was a body found in one of the apartments," said a neighbor who wished to remain anonymous, "the red and white crime scene tape just went up [5:20p.m.]."

Neighbors also said a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office helicopter had been circling over head for over 30 minutes around 5:20 p.m.

"There are at least three vans, five police cars and a K-9 out here," said the neighbor.
