News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It started out as an investigation and ended in a man going to the hospital.

Jacksonville Sheriff's officers responded to reports of a stolen car in the 600 block of Osman Road, and, according to Sgt. Ford Dickinson, when officers approached him, the man inside the car tried to run away.

An officer released his K-9 partner to catch the man, and Dickinson said the dog ended up biting the man on his neck.

The man went to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Officers are not yet releasing the injured man's name and haven't said what charges he'll face once he recovers from his injuries.
