JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Police say they have located the car of a woman who has been missing for two months.
Lt. Rob Schoonover said the car, a blue 2003 Toyota Corolla, was found last night in the 900 block of Liberty Street, and the car belongs to Rosemary Day.
Schoonover said Saturday night someone called in the information to police about the car being parked on Liberty Street for a long period of time.
Day, 27, was reported missing on May 30th. Police say it's unclear if the car was on Liberty Street for the last two months.
Schoonover said it's clear it has been there for some time because there were cobwebs around the car.
Police said information was found in the car which has given them new leads to follow of where Day may be.
Day's mother told First Coast News she has no idea why her daughter would have been in the Liberty Street area.
Her family also said they are still praying for their daughter's safe return.
Police are asking anyone who may have information about the car or the missing girl in the Liberty Street area to call First Coast Crimestoppers. The number is 1-866-845-TIPS.
