JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- An investigation is underway after authorities found a body inside a home at 10100 Jackson Terrace. Authorities said they will be collecting evidence at the home throughout the morning.

Sergeant Craig Waldrup, with the Homicide Unit of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said they received several reports of shots fired around 10 p.m.

Investigators found a man dead inside the home when they arrived, he said. The victim's identity is unknown at this time. Investigators are also unsure if he is from the area or lived at the home, Waldrup said.

Authorities are canvassing the area, talking to witnesses and piecing together information. Police said they had no suspects or suspect information.
