JIA bomb hoax suspect deemed incompetent

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Zeljko Causevic was deemed incompetent to stand trial Monday for the alleged bomb hoax at Jacksonville International Airport. 

Causevic was committed to custody to restore competency, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

A status hearing has been scheduled for November 26 to ensure that he has been placed in a medical facility by that time.

Causevic was arrested at JAX Airport after he allegedly told security screeners he had a bomb in his backpack but they only found an electronic scale and batteries.

The Bosnian native is facing charges of false report about planting a bomb or explosive and manufacture/possess/sell/deliver or mail hoax bomb, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
