Nearly One Half of all Workers Claim They are Less Productive Without Coffee

 

 

National Coffee Day is Thursday, September 29, and according to a new survey commissioned jointly by Dunkin’ Donuts and CareerBuilder, scientists/lab technicians are the professions that need coffee the most, followed by marketing/public relations and education administrators. The survey results also show that coffee plays a major role in helping professionals perk up at work, as 34 percent need coffee to get through their workday, and 46 percent of those who drink coffee claim they are less productive without a cup of Joe.

Publix Recalls Spinach Dip Due To Possible Health Risk

Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for spinach dip because it may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes.  The problem was discovered as a result of routine microbial testing conducted by Publix.  The 16 ounce containers of prepackaged spinach dip were sold at Publix retail deli departments with a UPC of 41415-00062 and use by date of OCT 10 C1.

Mosquito-borne Illness Alert for Duval County Continues

 

The Duval County Health Department (DCHD) continues its mosquito-borne illness alert for Duval County. Two additional human cases of West Nile virus (WNV) have been reported (confirmed or probable) during the current update period. The most recent cases involve a 61 year-old female visitor and 57 year-old male resident. Duval County has 16 reported cases of WNV in 2011. There have been two reported deaths associated with a confirmed case of WNV.

Brooks Rehabilitation Adds Assisted Living and Memory Care Services to its Bartram Campus Plan

Brooks Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing various options to meet the unique needs of their patients and the community, empowering people to achieve their highest level of recovery and independence. With that goal in mind, Brooks Rehabilitation has begun infrastructure development on its Bartram campus located on I-95 and Bartram Park Boulevard in southern Duval County.   The campus will be designed as a destination for those needing rehabilitation and other services focused on the aging adult. The first phase of the project, which will break ground in early 2012, will include a three-story, 61-unit assisted living facility (ALF), an 18-unit memory care facility and a 100-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) which will expand Brooks Rehabilitation’s continuum of care.
