Police: Suspect Uses Knife to Steal Hair Weave

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police continue looking for a woman they believe used a knife to hold up a beauty supply store, getting away with several packages of hair weave.

According to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spokesperson Melissa Bujeda, 20-year-old Monique N. Hibbert walked into Amy's Beauty Supply in the Town and Country shopping center in Arlington at 7:25 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9.

After displaying a knife and committing an armed robbery, the suspect left the store with eight packages of hair weave.

There is a warrant for Hibbert's arrest for the crime.

The JSO inmate information web page shows Hibbert has six prior arrests since turning 18 in 2009. The charges include trespass, resisting arrest, petit theft and grand theft.
